Kathleen's Favorites on the Web: YouTube

Apr 22, 2011

You Tube is a fun way to spend a few minutes each day laughing at funny kid videos, looking cute animal videos, and catching up on the latest Dancing with the Stars cast-off, but it can also be one of your best knitting tools.

If you're a visual learner like I am, you'll love YouTube! Just enter what you're looking for in the search box and almost surely you'll find several videos demonstrating your search term.

I learned how to cable without a cable needle from videos on YouTube, and it changed my knitting. What's your challenge? Put it in the search box in YouTube and get some helpful demos. You'll conquer that challenge in no time at all.

We have lots of Interweave videos on You Tube; from working a basic cable to dying sock yarn to interviews with our editors, there's a ton of info there.

Try YouTube as a knitting tool. You'll be glad you did.

YouTube is currently helping me through my first pair of socks. It is a tremendous resource.
