Today is the day! Our effort to support breast cancer awareness is has begun, and you can be a part of it. You shop, we donate!

To recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness month, I'm delighted to let you know that over the next five days (through 11:59 PM MST on 10/5/12), 30% of all Knitting Daily Shop proceeds go to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

I have a knitting project that supports my local Cancer Center:  knitted breast prosthesis (my pattern covers cup sizes from A to DD).  These light weight, washable 'boobies' (or as one of my recipients dubbed them 'foobies', for 'false boobies') have been in high demand locally since I began donating them after I experimented with the pattern for my own use.
