I felt that it was masculine enough for him, looked at least OK on the wrong side and I made it in a beautiful blue the color of his eyes.

I can remember knitting in hospitals, dentist's offices, red lights, lunch breaks,in-laws house, etc. Knitting takes so long that one has to grab their moments of knitting whenever possible. There's a simple gentleness to the process of knitting that I find comforting. I am thinking and meditating in a way.

Thank you for your heartfelt words today, because today of all days has been a really hard day for me, I have lost one family member and am about to loose another in the next few days. I have been at the hospital for the last few days so I have had some down time to knit and pray and think about family. The family memeber I lost today was found with the booties and afghan that I knit her wrapped around her as she lay there peaceful. As for the family member I am about to loose I have have been knitting her a prayer shawl but I am thinking know that maybe God had other things in store for her. Extended family or family close to you is very important.

I saw your scarf project and I have already started knitting the scarf for your project, never have I knit a cable so this will be my first cable project as well, but seeing that I have just lost a few of my family members I want to bring something to someone who might one day become a part of my worldly family.

Peace be with you all
