Thanks for not forgetting us beginners. I can drool and dream over the other patterns but it is great to get a pattern that I actually think is within my capacity to finish without using an excess of foul language.

Sandi - Thank you sooooooo much for the sock patterns. I just decided I wanted to try a pair of socks and last evening started one from the pattern on the ball band. Kind of boring, but at least I'll find out if the sizing is right for me! Now I have some that are more fun to look forward to for my next ones. OMG this is a creeping contagion. I just downloaded the sock patterns - I'm tempted to knit them - this can't be happening to me - must be midnight, the witching hour - don't say I'm going to turn into ........ (gasp) a sock knitter ...... aaaaaagh
