Again, we welcome Eunny Jang, editor of Interweave Knits magazine, as our guide: Olga Buraya-Kefelian

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

I made this halter but could not get the straps centered. Eunny's diagram on completing the halter results in one armhole lower than the other. I'm about to abandon this project.

The only way I can think of to center the straps and level the armholes is to overlap the end of one petal over the other in the center and using the wrapped live stitches of each end for the straps. However, this would make the top a little thick in the center and decrease the width.

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

This is a great feature for a post. I love the idea of making the straps wider--I liked this top but was unlikely to knit it because I could see that the shape of the strap would probably expose a regular bra (and I rarely make anything that requires me to get a specialty bra...they are so expensive!). It just didn't occur to me that the straps could be made wider without marring the design. Thanks for a great idea!

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

Sorry, nothing is going to induce me to make this cocoon!

I loved the demo on the Kitchner stitch on KD TV. Could you post the demonstration online so I can use it. Trying to get this technique down. Love the KNIT SIMPLE book!

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

I'd like to see this done in a different color -- as it is, the model looks like she's wearing a giant Ace bandage!

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

Would love to see this one in the sweater gallery with as many body types as possible represented.

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

Does this pattern adapt well to someone who is a larger size?

re: Eunny's Sweater Workshop: Petal Halter

Would knitting extra tiers on the bottom, increasing size as needed, be a way of making it into a tunic or dress?
