Sorry, but I don't know how "cutting-edge" that Shibori Scarf is, considering Nicki Epstein published her version nearly two years ago in "Knitting Never Felt Better".

Your point is exactly what I was trying to get across--don't assume beautiful things are mass produced. I guess I didn't explain it clearly enough.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? I'm far more impressed with the look of a well-crafted, hand-knitted item.

Isn't "mass-produced" the exact antithesis of what the knitting world is trying to achieve?

I enjoyed the needle felting information and downloaded the free patterns. I was wondering if there were actual patterns for the felted flower and lacy scarf? What kind of yarn to use and needle sizes, etc.

I've been searching for a felted bag pattern and think 'Formal Boot Bag' just might be the one. I think I'll try it in an army green or plum color and make a felted strap. Thanks!! - Sandy
