Thank you for the story and beautiful pattern.

I have noticed an inaccuracy in the P.S. section though. Orenburg, which is famous for it’s lace shawls, is located in Ural mountains region of Russia, not in Estonia.

Thanks for a great article and the lovely pattern. By the way, the links tooks me to the Holiday Gifts ordering page, not the shawl download. I put the pattern name into the search box and that took me to the correct page. The link from the Ravelry pattern page also works. :)

I am heavily into geneology and the article about Granny Cheyne's Shetland Shawl grabbed my attention. What a piece of history! The owner is so fortunate as is their family.
