I'm knitting the Aran necklace for myself in bamboo, but I've added a sleeve effect because the cami is not my style. So I vote for it.

I think the most versatile is the Counterpane Blouse, whether it's paired with a tank top or turtle neck it would rock the outfit not to mention keep the breeze in and out.

I tried the Counterpane Blouse a couple of years ago because I too thought it looked great. I had to abandon the project rather early on because knitting with the linen was really hard on my thumb and wrist. I knit continental- maybe that had something to do with it, although after inquiring about this at my fabulous LYS, I heard others talk about how hard knitting with linen can be hard on the hands. Something to consider...

HI Kathleen,

I'd go with the Aran Necklace Camisole since it's in a neutral (safari-like) color that would blend with most things. Whatever you choose, have an awesome trip and please post some pics if you can.

This is a hard choice to make. All three are beauties. How about knitting all three? Just kidding! OK so my choice is the "Filet Patch Blouse".Happy knitting & have a GOOD TRIP.

Kathleen, I absolutely love the Counterpane Blouse. It would look fabulous in just about any color. I'm sure that your sister would really enjoy wearing it. What a nice gift. Enjoy your trip.

Hey, the filet patch is a hit. I am now knitting it in white. it is just yummy. can't wait to finish. wool silk blend... actually Nashua's Isabella with a 7 & 9 needle.thank you for the free patterns this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the Teva Durham's Filet Patch Blouse. It is perfect for fall no matter where you are in the world so versitle and cute.

Kathleen.....if it keeps raining and being crummy spring weather, do both the counter pane first and then the filet patch ! You can finish the filet on the plane..it is a long flight ! Enjoy your time there, we want pics when you return.
