Commenting on Jean@160: I hear you! There are so many projects I want to knit, however, when I calculate the cost of knitting them I am discouraged and ultimately don't make them. Being a textile major in college, I do realize what it takes to spin, dye and finish yarn, but I still can't justify spending anywhere from $60.00 PLUS on yarn alone, for making a sweater ( and that's usually discounted yarn!!!) I see all the gorgeous new yarns and creative patterns and know that the price on these supplies will be out of the ballpark. VERY DISCOURAGING !!!!!!
