I purchased this book a couple of years ago and had a plethora of newbies born that year! The bolero and hat were so easy to work up (I'm a Medium Experienced knitter) and thought that most of what we see when holding a new baby was their back...so worked in a little lace type stitch halfway and then reversed the directions to make it look like a medallion... it came out so perfectly and sweet to see some design on the back! (that 's about it for my Improvising....! 8-)

One Skein is the best book ever! I have about wore it out with all the great patterns. I particularly love the Spiral Rib Bag....very easy and fun to make and it works up quickly which is the best part! So glad you suggested this book and I hope others will pick it up and give it a try! Thanks for letting me put in my 2 cents worth~~

Packaging the bibs flat...great idea. You could even have fun with the wrapping...maybe carrying the yarn color into the paper. Using scrap yarn to tie up the present. All sorts of possibilities.
