We've enlisted several Interweave employees to try on items featured in our magazines to give you an idea of how different patterns look on multiple body types.

What you can see in the photos is the lovely "paneled" structure, with the front panel separated by the two side panels by "princess lines" of cable stitches. What you may not be able to see in the photo is that the side panels on the front of the sweater are formed by working on the bias: the stitches slant upwards on each side from the base of the cable towards the side seams.

A smooth, classic merino in a chunky weight makes the texture pop in high relief.

On our Gallery Gals, we also show it worn open, scooching the fabric back along the drawstring to create gentle pleats/folds from the drawstring downwards. These pleats are an important part of the overall design--notice how they correspond to the points in the lace pattern, giving the lace-and-stripe combination just a bit more graceful emphasis.
