I started knitting with argyle socks when I was a teenager. Of course they didn't fit. Now many years later, I'm taking up knitting again and have my first sock (not argyle) to the heel and since I've panicked I apparently need help. It is being done on dpns. I want to learn the toe-up method too and also the 2 socks at once on a circular needle so I don't have all these single socks sitting around. I've decided everyone on my Christmas list gets socks this year. I am just going to DL Sockupied too.

I would love to learn the toe up method. Looking forward to making my second pair of socks so I could really learn any technique.

I really have only made one pair of socks so I need to learn all the techniques! But I want to learn the toe up technique for sure.

I've already done socks on 2 circs and magic loop (usually 2 at a time) and I love the variety and challenge it offers. I next want to try toe-up, and then, possibly, 2 at a time toe-up.

I want to learn how to knit both socks at the same time. For me, this is insurance that I'll end up with a pair!

I would love to find a method of sock knitting where the entire sole of the sock was double knit or twined (maybe?) in order to make it thicker and more solid. I would hope this would make the sock more durable and last longer. I love the simplicity of the patterns in Sockupied:0) Thanks for the ideas! - jan

I've downloaded the Simply Sockupied but haven't started yet. I'm really looking forward to learning how to use the magic loop method and knitting two socks at the same time!

I started my first pair of socks on my first ever dpns a week ago, got to the heel part and stopped in terror.;) So I just want to learn how to do heels properly!

I have become fairly good at a basic cuff down sock, so I would like to move forward to toe up socks or socks with some kind of design element.

I want to be a master at kitchener stich, knitting toe up, and being able to turn a heel without constantly having a book in front of me!

can't wait to knit my 2nd pair of socks. so excited.

Maybe I should try magic loop two at a time socks. The first time trying magic loop was a bit less then successful but maybe its worth a second try.

I'd love to find patterns for socks with heals that are an insert. You remove them when worn out and knit in a new one. I'd rather knit than darn any day!
