Has anyone made the Barton Cottage Shrug? Maybe I'm missing something, but there is no key to the chart. Any ideas?

Love this issue!!! Would like to see many, many more Regency Era knit designs. Would like to see this concept expanded as well - themes - Wuthering Heights/Bronte; Lord of the Rings - Heck even a classic Dark Shadows issue.

I had the same problem with the short stays top - pattern on the back is off centered - just ripped out all the way back to the ties. Also made the Kennsington mitts and they are tight - cuffs aren't loose like in the picture - still wearable. I went down 1 size with needles. The Georgiana shawl is great, I don't remember having any problems, but sometimes will correct something automatically if it looks off, figuring it's my error. Patterns are beautiful - but I'm hesitant to try anything else if instructions aren't checked more closely for accuracy. Interweave? Comments?

Has anyone attempted the Kensington Mitts? I'm confused about the measurements - who has a 4 inch hand circumference? I'm a small person and mine is 8 inches. is this correct? I ordered the Madeline Tosh yarn and found that I wasn't able to get the gauge correct. It says 35 sts to 4" on size four needles (in the horseshoe pattern). I had to move down to size 2 needles to even get close. Could someone help?

I'm slightly confused. The contrasting stitches on the back of the short stays are supposed to be square on the back, but when I followed the pattern, it's off to one side! Is the pattern incorrect?
