&lt;p&gt;There is an explanation here - &lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://www.knittingdaily.com/glossary/ssk-decrease.aspx"&gt;www.knittingdaily.com/.../ssk-decrease.aspx&lt;/a&gt; which shows 2 slipped stitches. &amp;nbsp;sssk is basically the same, but slip 3 stitches. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
