The latest special issue of Interweave Knits Weekend dropped a few weeks ago, but it's taken me a good while to pick a new project from the 32 (32!) fabulous patterns. There are projects of every shape and size, from whimsical toys

re: Colorplay and the Riot Yoke Pullover

Wouldn't the Kool-aid smell and won't it wash out? I haven't done Kool-aid in years. I remember once I had to bake cookies and send to school and at the last minute decided to put some decoration on them. I used a strong solution of Kool-aid since that was what I had at the moment, and the teacher told me later that she tore the classroom up all morning, making all sorts of wild accusations, and finally found out it was the cookies she smelled !!! I dipped a thread and held it tight, and made designs.

So much texture and variety of stitches to keep it interesting. Is it in the round? I can't tell. As for Kool-Aid dying I've done it with wool fabric for rug-hooking, but I have to try it for yarn. I don't trust my instincts on yarn vs. fabric though.

I've never dyed with Kool-aid. Sounds like fun - I may give it a try.
