Vote on the Knitscene cover!

Dec 4, 2009

Right now, we are hurtling towards the press day for another issue of Knitscene. Part of the final wrap-up for any issue is fine-tuning the cover. For the Winter/Spring 2010 issue, a transeasonal issue that contains winter and spring projects, and that hits newsstands in late January, we've narrowed the cover image down to two choices: a super cute cardigan designed by Melissa Wehrle and a Boho-chic vest from Berroco. The colorwork cowl on the vest makes the project really pop on the cover, and we all love the coloring and feel of this image. But the peach cardigan really says spring, and the model is so engaging.

So we decided, let's ask our readers! Click here and vote on the cover you'd like for this issue. Voting ends Monday December 7 at 2 pm mountain standard time. Thanks for your help!

love the one on the right

Definitely the one on the left.  Cleaner background, easier to see details, nice pattern.  I don't like the look of the vest on the right.  Looks too cluttered with scarf/cowl and short sleeve shirt.  Looks a bit "thrown together".

Brown Vest Definitely!!  No question.  Stands out more, love the colors.  Model looks happier, etc....

The right with the darker sweater and cowl, definitely! The right reminds me of a Proactiv ad and it's just "empty". The colors on the other are way better!

Definitely the cover on the right.  The sky background on the left is cheesy and the model's hairstyle looks dated and makeup looks unfinished.

I preferred the left one as I felt it was more suitable for a transition from winter to spring.

Definitely, the one on the RIGHT!

My initial reaction was the cover on the right.  However, I think that the sweater stands out more as a cover on the left one.......almost three dimensional!  I also just love that sweater, the cowl is awesome too.

The cover on the right is more attractive, but that vest is one of the most basic knitted items, not very attention-getting for the knitter looking for new designs.  I like the sweater on the left much better, but the composition and colors are less appealing.

The picture in the right is better, but the garment on the left is cute.

SO.... left.

I like the one on the right. The background looks more winter/spring to me.

The one on the right is more visually appealling.  However, I love the cardigan on the left.  I already want to make that!

The one on the right! It says "knitting magazine," as opposed to the one on the left which could be the cover of "Self" or some other generic women's "health" magazine.

I was instantly drawn to the one on the right.

I'd be more likely to pick up the magazine on the right, so I vote for the colorwork cowl.

The one on the left, for sure!

I vote for the orange sweater because the type is so much easier to read on the side.

I really dig the cardigan a lot and I prefer that sweater, but the background doesn't match it.

The cover on the right---brown vest with cowl--would be the one I'd reach for in the store.  Something about the color and looking toasty warm while we're just starting to dream of spring.

The composition of the one on the right is nicer, I think, and I love the cowl, but I've got to vote for the one on the left.  I can see me making that sweater right away!

The one on the left is better in some ways.
