Last time we talked, I had just cast on for the Sign of Four Scarf from Knitscene Spring 2014. Shortly after that, I finished it!
I took the scarf with me on my trip to Cleveland, Ohio, where I taped a couple of segments for the next season of Knitting Daily TV with host Vicki Howell. When I wasn't taping, or preparing to tape, I was knitting on my scarf—I wanted to finish it and wear it so bad because Ohio was significantly colder than Colorado had been, and silly me hadn't brought any neck wear.
This was a great on-the-go knitting project. Since this knitted scarf is not too wide, it's easy to pull out wherever—on the airplane, in the car, at a restaurant, wherever—which makes it a pretty quick knit, too! I finished this scarf on the Sunday after I started it, so I could wear it around Ohio for a few days before coming home to block it.
I haven't measured the finished length, but it's plenty long for me to wrap around my neck a couple of times, and I'm so happy with the color, because it goes with pretty much every outfit ever.
In other news, we just finished Knitscene Summer 2014—be on the look out for that issue very soon and get your needles ready for summer fashion knitting.
Until next time, happy knitting,
