Hi, new person here. If I'm doing this wrong please advise. I have two questions . #1 am I the only one with umpteen ufo's on the needles? how does it get this way? does it take a lifetime to get even with the board?

#2 want to do some Estonian Lace. I guess i'm just going to have to put down those socks and scaves and go for it. What would your plan of attack be?

New England Knits -- I've just read through the book and I love the design sense of the authors -- these sweaters are interesting and innovative, but wearable.

A couple of questions plague me, however:

Why are almost all the sweaters so cropped? Aren't many folks most comfortable in the hip-length about 15" to the armhole sweater?

Why are almost all the yarns used for the sweaters worsted-to-bulky weight?

And most of all, why did they do such an appalling job in sewing up the fronts of the adorable Providence Hoodie? There is at least an inch difference in the width of the right and left front hip bands! It is sacrilege!

But I reiterate, the designs themselves are clever, pretty, and useful.

Hello from Salem! I'm looking forward to your book. Was the entire book photographed in Newburyport or did you go to some other places as well? It will be fun to look at familair locations while enjoying knitting patterns. :)

Newburyport is such a pretty town. It holds a special place in my heart because it's where I learned to spin. I've been looking forward to this book but now that I know the photography was done in my part of the state, I'm looking forward to it even more!!

Please ask the good folks at WEBS to accept PayPal so that I, Bonnie Lacey, can shop there. Whenever I'm in MA. I try to get to WEBS. Fantastic!! I live in Jordan and it is very difficult to get such a variety.

if I ever get to the USA, I would make this a stopover for sure. We don't have such large displays of stock here in Australia for retail. Spotlight and Lyncraft are very small in comparison. No wonder your customers are surprised when they enter this wondeful haven of fabulous fibres.

Have you ever been to the Comon Ground Fair in Central Maine. The Wednesday Spinners have a tent, and llamas and sheep are sheared and wool carded and spun on site. And the food is all grown in Maine.....
