
For this shrug, I took inspiration from the tiny bodices worn during the Regency period, particularly Kate Greenaway drawings, the Empress Josephine, and the movie Vanity Fair. I simply knit two threequarter- length sleeves (decorated with delicate cables) that increase in width to form a small elegant bodice, then grafted them together with a Kitchener stitch. I used one of my favorite brooches from my grandmother’s jewelry box to fasten the shrug at the bust....
