Kickoff! Lisa Shroyer's Knitting Plus Blog Tour Begins

Apr 6, 2011

Guest designer Lisa Shroyer, editor of Knitscene magazine and author of the brand new book Knitting Plus (Interweave, 2011), stopped by the Knitting Daily TV shoot on location to chat with Eunny about the book and knitting for larger sizes in general. You can see Lisa on episode 613, or watch her interview with Eunny below:

An advocate for fashionable designs that FIT, whether you're small or large, Lisa's knitting know-how is unmatched. "It's about looking your best and being proud of the handknits you've made," says Lisa. Her book dives into shaping and sizing, and showcases beautiful designs. You can download the free pattern for the Farrington Pullover, which is the blue cowl-neck sweater that Lisa sports on episode 613 and seen here.

Join Lisa as she talks more about her book, Knitscene magazine, and more as she embarks on her first-ever blog tour! She'll be travelling from blog to blog, conducting interviews, sharing patterns, and celebrating good knitwear. Follow Lisa!

It's interesting -- I love the cover sweater, and seeing it on Lisa made me realize that (a) she is gorgeous and (b) the dropped sleeve on that sweater really isn't flattering to her, and probably wouldn't be for me either.  So now if I want to knit that sweater I need to figure out how to change it to set-in sleeves.  *ponder*
