Though I have known how to knit for a long time, I never really ventured too far out of the box until I recently began watching "Knitting Daily".  Love the show and have tried a few of the techniques shown in some of the item s that I have made.  The tutorials are really great and easily visible.  So now the box is on the shelf and I am out of it trying new things.   Thanks so much.  I look forward to seeing what else I can try that you will show!

I would *love* to win the Portuguese knitting book.  Someone showed me the technique about a year ago, but it was hot out and i was having trouble concentrating.  (She learned from a former Romanian neighbor).  I was not understanding the difference between regular purls and the Portuguese knitting style purls so I want to learn more.

The woman I talked to was convinced that it was an older technique than either English or Continental, because you find it widespread in 2nd and 3rd world countries where there is a lot more in the way of "traditional" crafts (where techniques are generally passed down one on one) instead of with books and patterns or online(!) (that's the way I've learned most knitting beyond the basics: i.e., "How do you do X?  Find the book with the clearest diagrams or the YouTube video with the best animation or best closeup photography).

I have purchased a few of the other DVD's and have really enjoyed them. It would be geat to win this DVD series - the episode on entelac knitting is one that really interests me and also the one on finishing techniques for head turning hats. I knitted a few hats for Christmas and would enjoy learning some new techniques. I would love to win this set - the program doesn't air on our local station, but I was introduced to it when visiting my sister and then purchased some of the DVD's.

I enjoy your show as well.

I happen to work at a PBS station and I can tell you that if you want to see Knitting Daily on your station, then call or e-mail your station and let them know.  If you are a member, all the better, but you don't have to be a contributing member to have your request carry weight.

Another tact that may work is approach your local LYS (one store might not be able to underwrite a series, but a co-op of several stores might be able) or your local Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. and  encourage them to offer to underwrite carraige of the series.  THAT will carry even more weight and when coupled with viewer demand, you might just get your wishes!

Tah!

My local PBS station doesn't carry this program any more.  I keep bugging them, to no avail.  So I have to get my fix online.  Knitting Daily is fabulous, helpful and inspiring.  Unfortunately I am on a limited income, so I can't buy all the DVDs, so I have to be content with the little snips I find here and there, and hope that Seattle will one day again carry this wonderful show.

In my busy week, one of those moments I enjoy for refreshing is checking what's knit-worthy, as offered by your skilled team! You are also a resource to me as I work with women being rescued from human trafficking. Offering them skills like knitting, sewing, and other handwork not only helps them create something beautiful - a therapy in and of itself - but also gives them a tangible which can help them earn a new income! Thanks for your part in this equation!

I would really love it if KDTV could have more in-depth instructions and less advertising at the beginning and end of the show. I mean really is it totally necessary to take up a full 12 minutes of each 30 minute episode to have all of that advertising? Sure, I know that the sponsors need to get their company out there for the viewers, but I think that you could put the advertisements either at the beginning or at the end of each episode but not both. It seems that each segment is kind of rushed because of the current advertisements. Please do what you can about that. It would make the series so much more informative to me. Thanks for listening!

Thanks for helping to take me beyond the basics!  My only suggestion, and I doubt that it is possible, would be some way to bookmarks segments to make it easier to refer back to a specific technical or topic. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the airing of the 800 series later this year, we get them much later, but at least we get them, but if I am fortunate enough to win the series, I wouldn't have to wait :-D!

It enables me to take a simple stitch garment and dress it up with color designs.  I would love a small segment using squares that would teach us creative knit stitches that we could use later on to create objects of choice, runners, sweaters, handbags etc.  These could be more challenging stitches but done on a small square would not be so intimidating such as entrelac, lace, miter work, etc. The more you teach us, the more we learn, and the more everyone around us benefits  - read knitted presents  :-)

I'm still not a speed knitter, but I wanted to knit faster than I was.  I taught myself to knit about 4 months earlier, so I was still exploring the best way to hold my needles. After watching her technique with slow/pause/replay ability on my DVR, I changed from an English knitter to a Continental knitter.  And now almost 2 years in, I'm still knitting Continental and hold and feed my left-hand yarn in the same fashion as Eunny does, and my hands knit happily with her technique.  So thanks!!

I have fallen in love with this show. It has given me the confidence to pick up knitting needles again. I love watching Eunny stitch up close. I especially enjoyed watching how versatile knitting can be. I enjoy the crochet corner too. Everyone on the show has wonderful poise on the TV screen. I appreciate each person's knowledge and expertise. I would love to own the series so I can pause and try the stitches that are being taught.

Keep up the GREAT work!!!!

I love watching your show and I've learned fun tips and tricks, as well as new techniques. Thanks!

I love the tutorials. As a recent knitter, it really helps to see how a technique is done.

Episode 803 would be especially helpful.  I've never tried colorwork and it would be nice to have someone hold my hand!  Thanks for all the inspiration!

The problem is your show is on at the same time as the Cat in the Hat Knows Alot About That!  How can I tell an 18 month old that we must watching knitting instead of sing the "Go go go!" song?  Its a quandary :(

I watch at my LYS on Saturdays. Great information and ideas. I've had more than a few ah ha moments watching each episode. Congratulations on 100 wonderful episodes!

I think I would most want to watch Ep 803 since colorwork is the one thing I haven't tried!  It scares me a little!

I love your show, I like when you show the different ways to fix a mistake, to not be afraid to try new technique's. I refer back often to your shows. Saved on of them I can on my dvr.

Oh I love that the show is easy to follow.  You don't use overly fancy terms and really try to make knitting and crocheting readily available for everyone.

Wish my local PBS channel carried this...I will contact them post-haste!

While I don't get to watch the show when it airs, its one of  the things I request as gifts for special occasions! I love that every episode offers new opportunities to branch out and grow as a knitter. Cant wait to see the new season!

Unfortunately your show does not air here in the twin cities.  I have asked our local station for it to no avail.  I would love to win theDVDs so I could see them all.  Debbie

Oops. Just wanted to add that since I live in a climate that is warm most of the year and I have wool allergies,  I would love to see more warm climate projects using non-wool yarns.

Love the show and have purchased all the DVD sets. I seem to be the "teacher" among my group of knitting friends and love to learn new ways to teach the basics. I would like to venture into design, so more design tips and techniques with resources would be helpful.

I don't get them locally, so I'd love a chance to have the DVDs!  The summaries I read seem so helpful.  Thanks for the giveaway.

I've been watching from the start, back to when I was taping them on VHS for reviewing.  UGH, it was so frustrating to fast foward or rewind to find just what I was looking for, so I asked our library to purchase the DVDs. Yay!

For me, the most helpful episodes have been about steeking and picking up stitches. The fear of steeking is now gone even though I haven't actually taken the plunge yet.

The knitalongs, especially the vest and knitted sheep were great fun to follow.  I'd love to see more.

I just love the show. Wish I could get it on TV! I think I've learned almost everything I know about knitting from the show as I am self taught through watching the show and reading books and doing a LOT of practice and frogging.

I look forward to watching this show every Sunday...the only problem is it's the fastest 30 minutes ever!  I love learning all of the techniques from everyone on the show.  They have helped me immensely!  Keep up the great work and I'll see you later today.  Too bad it doesn't come on every day.....

Wow, what a great giveaway.  I'm most excited to see Help Wanted and Yakkety Yak.

I'm so excited about the new season.  Hopefully my PBS station will show it instead of the constant reruns they do now.  I'm especially looking forward to show 805 EntreKnits, that is so interesting to me.  Keep up the great work and wonderful show.
