Has anyone helped someone:

1. get started on a new project, or finish an old project (like maybe the more difficult part of a pattern you need help with),

2. help pick out a yarn, or figure out a pattern,

3. or just smiled at someone,

4. opened a door,

5. said thank you,

6. give a break in traffic,

7. make a phone call to someone ill or missed by you,

8. take some cookies to a neighbor, or visit someone who just lost a loved one recently,

9. help someone with their homework, wash a car

10. run an errand, take out the trash, some lawn work, walk the dog, feed the dog, bathe the dog.

Once you start thinking about it the list goes on & on.

Anybody care to add to this? Jot down what you did for someone or what someone did for you, or what you would like someone to do for you to help you out. Just pick up where the last person left off.

what do you like to do?

i enjoy sitting back and relaxing to music or reading a nice book. or i'll hang with my friends. we usually go to the plaza. I have been knitting for 8 years and I love it!!! My stash is outgrowing the shelves trying to contain it. I have probably 10 UFO's. Some of my creations are available online for sale but my friends and family enjoy the majority of what comes off my needles.

I have a question about the webinar being hosted by Gale Zucker on June 5th at noon. Does anyone know how long this webinar will last? I have to be at work by 2pm and am trying to figure out if it will fit into my schedule. If anyone knows, please email me! mrsfroitz@hotmail.com. I have already contacted interweave via the 'contact us' tab. I will share the answer when I know, and if anyone else can do the same, I'd appreciate that!
I am a beginner knitter. I taught myself how to knit within the last couple weeks, and i'm loving it. I'm looking for a good baby blanket patter than will be easy to learn, but not boring. I was hoping I could use two different colors, but I'm not clear on the concept of using more than one color yet.. Does anyone know any cute baby blanket patterns that would be easy for a beginner?

Thank you very much in advance!

If not, how close are you to finishing?

    hopefully for a long while.

If anyone cares to read the story of how it began; here it is. If not, just skip to next page.

Well, sometime ago I asked Yogama if she would be interested in doing a kal on the Ruffle and Pleat Skirt Pattern offered here on KD by interweave. For various reasons the idea was put on hold. Recently, I saw a pattern Merlich shared with us that she was thinking of doing from an issue of Vogue. While I viewed her possible project on the VK360 I saw this Racerback Top and suggested it to Merlich. She loved it and decided to switch, bought her yarn and started working up her swatch gauges. I say ,she was really on the ball! So when Merlich mentioned the idea of doing a kal on this top, I immediately thought of our (Yogama & myself) past attempts at a skirt kal , put out the invitation again to Yogama, and this time it looked like it will be a “go”. We also invited Mary, Wendy and invited all kd’s knitters who might like to do this top.

Hopefully more will join. It's a Racer Back Top but there is no race to finish it! So no pressure to finish by a certain date. I have noticed on some of the kals that a knitter has decided to do the project long after the kal is completed. So since there not a completion date, anyone can feel free to hop in without pressure to finish "on time". It's just going to be a fun thing to do. Hopefully learning from one another will be the thing, and the reward is having a Racer Back Top to wear or give as a gift! I hope that Lisa Hoffman will be happy that we wanted to knit her beautiful top. Thank you KD for this site. Merlich, Yogama & I don't know when we have enjoyed a knitting website more than this one!
