Sorry if this is already somewhere else, but I was wondering if it is possible to felt in a front loading washer. That's all I have and all my friends have too, so I can't get to a top loading one. I've got this bag I'm making that will hopefully be all ready to felt by the end of the week and I really need to know if I can do it in a front loader.

Thanks!

I used to do all of my felting in a front loader...until that machine died.  SO...yes..you can.  The key is hanging out to remove it prior to the spin cycle.  Although, I did leave a few of my projects in...and they survived - so I wouldn't get overly stressed about that.    I suggest putting in an old pair of jeans.  And, it did usually take me a cycle or 2 more than it does with the top loader.

Happy felting!!

Thank you! I was so worried I'd have to just leave it unfelted. It's a dang big bag to leave unfelted... xD

Good question about front-loader washing machine, as far as I can figure out most of Europe uses these. So now I can go felting all I want. And my washing machine lets me choose a cycle that excludes the spinning at the end, so I don't have to keep it company ...
