I've taken up knitting. My mother was a very talented knitter and so many times attempted to teach me. I kept using the excuse that I am left-handed. Now that she is gone - and I am older - I have decided to try again. I started by knitting the Ruby Bear. I have done dorm slippers and am looking for a pattern my mom used all the time. The slippers were cute litlle bunny slippers. I believe they started out as booties and she increased the pattern for children. They are adorable. The front edges are folded over to create the ears. I've looked everywhere online for this pattern and I have had no luck. Do you have a suggestion on where to go for help or to find the pattern. I believe it was knit in stockinette stitch. My goal before I leave this earth is to knit a pair of socks though I am frightened to attempt it.
