Hi, I'm megan and I knit everywhere--mostly socks. This morning as I was waiting in line to vote, I was glad I brought my latest sock to keep me busy in line!!
Welcome Meagan,
It's great to hear you voted. So did I. Socks is one thing that has intimidated me so I have never tried it. Stick to it.
Hi Megan....
Always good to hear fr someone else who knows knitting goes everywhere!!! It's entertainment for me as well as other people around me frequently. We have to "spread the word" !!! Socks are so portable too!
For yarns number one fan; don't be scared of socks...really they're easy!!! So many methods + patterns out there as well as help here. I saw the following pattern/ article on the internet + mentally "saved it" for anyone interested in learning socks. It has really good clear diagrams + descriptions and there is a pattern to make basic baby socks...so you're not making a huge commitment of time or yarn to try them.

click on "patterns" on the left side of the screen, then scroll down till you see; Six Steps to Sock Success & Playful Pairs Pattern it's a cute little baby sock in variegated blues + yellow.
Enjoy, Andrea
Well, I sent my ballot by mail so didn't need it for that. However, I definitely took it with me when I went down to the IRS office in April!
Hi Andrea,
I guess if I want to make some baby socks I will need some tiny needles and some fine yarn, am I right. I love buying notions so that won't bother me if I do. I have seen shows on television where you have to be careful not to do certain stiches at the bend of the sock because they will leave a hole and to be honest I have never used more than two needles to knit. (I know.....what a shame, and I have been knitting for 26 years.) I am about to have my baby and I love making everything for my babies, it would be great to make my first pair for my last baby. Write back.

Hi Adriana...
Good to hear back from you. I'm thinking that maybe we should move this to another forum since we are kind of off the topic of "Introduce yourself". I wouldn't care, but I saw someone post an objection in another forum (maybe yarn storage?) when a conversation wandered off topic.
So...I will start a new thread under "How Do I" + call it "Baby Socks"...OK? I hope to see you there + we can continue this!
Take Care, Andrea
