This morning (at least in my area) On Knitting Daily TV, show #904 "Oops, I Dropped It", a shawl was briefly shown during the accessory segment. It appreaed to be rectangular in shape wth dropped and elongated stitches, giving the shawl an overall 'woven' effect. It looked to me like garter or stockinette squares bound on all four sides with open sections runnning lengthwise and crosswise. (Hope that makes the proper picture!)I would love to obtain this pattern. I'm hoping there IS a pattern and I don't have to figure it out - that's not my long suit!
I could not find it when I looked up that episode on their website (however, tech savyness is not a long suit either). Hope someone has good info for me and thanks in advance. Glenna Jo
I too am looking for this pattern but have not located it on the website
I didn't see the episode.....but if it was an item by Laura Bryant.....it should be found in a pattern booklet from Prism Arts
hope this helps.
I too have been looking for this pattern. I finally found the pattern - for sale at VogueKnitting (http://store.vogueknitting.com/p-1430-drop-stitch-scarf.aspx)

Just thought I'd share my drop stitch knitting experience too. It was reallly fun to knit.
And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen. Ex. 35:25
That's not it. The OP is talking about the display shawl with the drop stitch edging, it was triangular with an offset center stitch, lace type pattern. It is called "Evolvere" & the pattern is available from Interweave, via KD's portal: http://www.knittingdaily.com/media/p/84724.aspx
