Does mirror imaging mean you decrease or bind off on the opposite end of a piece?  For example, on a right front, I am told to bind off on the left side.  When I knit the right side, will I be binding off on the right side?

If your pattern is stockinette stitch, on the right front you bound off on a purl row (you were working a row on the private side of the piece, the side worn close to your body). On the left front you would bond off on the right edge which would be at the beginning of a knit row in stockinette stitch. Usually these bind offs are for the armholes so just think about wearing the garment or put the knitting side by side with the completed front to check where the bind off should be to mirror the completed front.
