I'm using sz 11 needles and a bulky cashmere yarn to make a scarf. The pattern is a simple 2 row repeat:

1st row is (yo, k2tog)

2nd row is purl

I've done about 4 inches and the pattern appears to be slanting to the right.  Also what should look like little square boxes seem to look more like diamonds.

Is this something that will come out in blocking or should I perhaps be using more tension at a specific stitch or what????  Thanks, Bobbi

You should be ok with blocking. The eyelet holes will open up and the slant should correct. Don't try to adjust tension on the sts. That's always difficult to maintain and will just result in uneveness. Sounds like luscious yarn and a lovely pattern!
