Hi!  I've never posed a message.  Please forgive me if I breach protocol!

I just did my guage swatch for this pattern and find that I too have to increase my needle to get the stitches per inch, but I'm still coming up short when it comes to the rows per inch.

My problem, however, is I can't find my magazine and therefore don't know if there is a specific provisional cast on method that I should be using.  The pattern says "see glossary".   Can someone please look for me and let me know?  I'm ITCHING to get started!

Thanks!

 Hi JZ...

I just looked @ the pattern + it says "a provisional cast on". The one listed in the glossary is just  the same as the one here above on the bar "how to" but here is the link.

Anyway, a provisional is just that...temporary...you will end up removing it @ the end to make a finished edge. So it wouldn't matter...as long as it was removeable.

My row gauges never seem to match either once I get the st gauge to...+ I always have to go up a needle sz!!!

   Good luck w/ the sweater.....Andrea
