I'm making socks for the first time and I want to use elastic thread in the ribbing or cuff, so the sock will stay up better. any tips or things I need to be aware of?

thanks

I am currently making a pair of socks using Patons Stretch sock yarn and they are working up beautifully.

If your yarn happens to be of average or low stretch, here is a tutorial for adding an elastic section to the tops of your socks. It's pretty neat!
