Hi,
I bought a few lace pattern books after I got hooked on wanting to knit such integrate work.
When I searched threw the books to pick my first pattern I noticed that in the book 'Victorian lace today' the weight of yarn is indicated but I can't seem to find anywhere the quantity required to knit each piece.
Can anyone help please? Thanks!

Right under the yarn weight there's a yardage. For instance for the Cap Shawl it says category 2, "fine weight" 1700 yards.
that's really interesting! i knew that I would write my essay successfully and take knitting on my exam!
