Interweave Knits of Fall 2013 , Dressage Cap calls for the turkish method cast on and says find it in the 'Knitting Daily.com/Glossary. " The Glossary tells me they do not have such a term in the glossary. Has anyone found it somewhere else or can you tell me what the difference is between that and other cast-ons?
A turkish cast on is a circular cast on for items like the toe of a sock. It's a very nice way to begin toe up socks or anything that requires a seamless ~circlar beginning. There's a good video here:
You raised my curiosity when I read your post question. The Turkish Cast-On is found in the Glossary under the initial "T" .
