I can't find a pattern for a short-sleeved top similar to a T shirt in shape but not tight at all, that uses size 9 needles or larger. A lacy pattern down the center that isn't too hard would be nice too. I want something easy to knit that I can wear in the summer and make for my sister's birthday. I have a size 38 bust. Anyone know of any patterns? (I went though all my 43 knitting books and magazines...no luck or tiny needles used...why is this so hard to find?)

Well this doesn't have lace, but it's a basic shape so you could insert the lace pattern of your choice with no problems.

 Hi....

I like the pattern that Tephra suggested...just the way it is!!!

I was just looking thru a copy of Creative Knitting magazine fr the Library. It's the March 2009 issue...but under the previews of the May 2009 issue there is a top you might be interested in. It's called "Lemon Ice" + has sort of a lacy/ leafy wide panel down the center front. Short cap sleeves + maybe a single cable down ea side of the front from the outside shoulder heading downwards. Covers most of your hips I think. Small pic so guessing a bit!!!

The website is www.CreativeKnittingMagazine.com  so maybe you could check it out there? That issue may be out already?
