Hi everyone,  I live in Central Queensland, Australia.  It is very hot here and I usually only pull out my knitting in winter (now).

I have been knitting for years, but am only really a beginner. I use knitting as a way to relax, and like the simpler patterns.

I have  started to learn how to weave and have just purchased the Ashford Knitter's Loom and am looking forward to learning how to spin also.

that's it for now, look forward to chatting with you all.

Frey.

Greetings from the West Coast state of Oregon! The temperature today will be 94º of sweltering temperature. I am knitting three tops, in cotton, hemp and bamboo. I love cotton yarns as wool makes me itch! My favorite Winter projects are Aran Knits with bobbles, seed stitch and cables. Aran patterns can make any yarn look good, especially the seafoam green Donegal Tweed I am using. This past year has certainly been an adjustment in our household and knitting keeps me peaceful and functioning toward a goal while ruminating over personal matters and household needs. I have become much calmer and resolute in my thinking these days. I love to knit and am always interested in learnng about new patterns from knitters of foreign lands. I love intarsia and have only dabble in the process. Maybe this year I'll take the time to learn to crochet. I also love cross-stitching and have found the finished art piece to be very comforting and it amazes me that I finished some of the longer pieces. I will continue to stitch until I no longer can see what I'm doing.
