Hi, I'm Kathy from Surprsie Arizona. First Day on the forum. Has anyone tryed the man's sweater from the on-line store called Cobblestone Pullover? I keep coming back and looking at this sweater. Could I hear some feedback on it? Kathy
Hi and thanks for the welcome sandy and team. Im Jill from England, and a keen knitter since childhood. I also make willow baskets, and have just bought my first spinning wheel. Found some very nice patterns on your site and hope to put them to good use with the yarn im spinning. I havent found any spinning or knitting groups locally, and so im really glad i found somewhere i can share with likeminded people.
Hi,
I'm Marilynfrom Michigan. Today is my first day on the forums. I learned to knit years ago, but haven't done much in the past five years. This past January I started knitting again. Just finished socks, hat and scarf. My next project is to make a "kitty pi" felted cat bed for a cat I don't have...yet.
Ah, here it is.

Hello, all!
I'm a mechanic from Alberta, Canada. I have 3 daughters, one husband (although I have considered adopting more for entertainment value - ;oP *just kidding!!!*), and no fun pets, just fish & frogs. Although they are glass fish, so you can see through them.
I'm pretty new to KD, and am trying to break into the designing aspect of crochet. I have more than a few designs and am compiling them into a book, hopefull to be published in the next year or so. I can knit, but am an impatient person, so have a tendency to always go back to crochet. Nature of the beast I guess.
Gonna go look around, now.

Hello everyone! My name is Roseanne and I am from Toronto, Ontario. I am into everything from knit, crochet, sewing, cross-stitch and much more. Think I need and apartment just for my stash. I work in a craft shop and teach crochet classes. Currently, I am crocheting a summer tank top and have other patterns lined up to make myself some summer tops. I think the next one will be knitted. I love this site and subscribed to Interweave Knits and I think i'll be going for the Interweave Crochet as well soon.
Glad to meet all you fellow crafters!

Hi my name is Sonia. I need help reading the pattern for the felted daypack, have made it to the flap! It seem I don't get it!!! Please help.....
Thanks
Sonia
I have been knitting ever since I was six years old and became entranced after I saw my mom knitting a pair of argyle socks. It was like magic! (I found out later--much later--that it MUST be magic, because I could never make argyles work!) I'm a long-time lover of Interweave Press, coming at it as a devoted reader to Spin-Off. About 20 years ago I learned to spin, and that changed my knitting habits completely.
I swore off patterns and started using a few basic shapes and made mostly small things--hats, especially, and gloves, out of my handspun. I raised angora rabbits for a time and spun and dyed and knit all manner of hats. While I'm here in Spokane, my wheel has been packed away in Colorado (how did that happen?) for the last two years. My latest projects--and I'm addicted to anything soft--have been fingerless mitts. Since I'm out of angora to spin, alpaca is my favorite fiber of choice, to spin and knit, and of course silk and kid mohair--I love how they take dyes.
But I want to venture back into patterns, though I'm a little nervous about it. I saw the "frock camisole" pattern on this site and I'm wondering if anyone has knit it. I have a silk/pima cotton handspun blend (well, some of it has been spun, the rest of it is boxed up in Colorado!), so I'm thinking of using it for the camisole. Any ideas?
Anyway, it's good to join the circle!
Hi Heidi.
I must say, your avatar is a little gruesome! But interesting. Welcome to KD Online!
Spinjilly,
I'd love to hear about your new spinning wheel. What kind did you buy, and where did you find it? How did you decide which one to get? I'd really like to try spinning but I've never had the opportunity to try a wheel, only a handspindle. If you have any advice, I'd love to hear it.
Hi, my name is Siobhan (that's shi-von). I'm one of those knitters who took a few years' hiatus but have recently rediscovered the joy of knitting. Reading Knitting Daily has been a very enjoyable experience, so I've decided to pop in here in the sparkly new forum and take a look around.
Hi Heidi,
I wanted to give you a shout-out, since I was raised in Wyoming. There are/were a few of us humaniods sprinkled among the sagebrush and sky. Not many, its true, but some even knit.
So do you live in RS because you are an archeologist...or...? My apologies if my question is too personal. I'm just curious because I was on track to graduate with an anthropology degree and veered off into English.
I posted a question for help finding a yarn suitable for use for a dog sweater. I see that there a thread and posts in reply but HOW do I get to them to read them please?
And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen. Ex. 35:25
Hi Kathy,
I bought the pattern for my husband and showed him the picture. He would prefer a 'v' neckline as opposed to the round neckline. As the upper part is also knit in the round, I haven't figured out yet how to rework the pattern. I love the look of the sweater and I've made up a yarn for him in navy blue and burnt orange. At the moment I want to finish 3 baby blankets so that I can't work on this yet.

Hi Sandi and the team at KD and IW!!
Just to let you know that I am knitting away in Istria, Croatia and Ljubljana, Slovenia. At age 17, I learned to knit from a woman at the local Ladies' Guild in Toronto, Canada where I am born. Two years ago, I picked up my needles again and have been knitting mainly children's blankets while I'm cruising the net for patterns, buying wool to add to my stash and learning. Thank you for your KD articles and your approach to fearless knitting.
Hello Margotta,
Yes, I moved over to Rock Springs for work with an archaeological consulting firm. I love my job, and I actually like the wild landscape too. I grew up in Colorado, and I was born in NYC so I've seen it all from skyscrapers to suburbia to sagebrush and antelope. I am one of the lucky few who took degrees in Anthro/Arch and actually make a living doing it outside of academia. Thanks for asking!
