I am thinking of subscribing to the Knits magazine by Interweave but as I am in u.k. wondered how it would apertain to me.  Do the patterns use usa yarns? Can anyone help me with this?

The patterns in Knits use a wide variety of yarns from different sources, including Rowan, Jamieson & Smith, both of which are UK-based companies, and Bergere de France, which is (probably obviously) from France. Take a look through some of the projects listed here on Knitting Daily and see what yarn companies are used and whether you can find them locally.

I substitute yarns all the time, usually with my handspun and the projects turn out fantastic.
