Hello everyone, I live in West Virgina and just love to knit. My favorite thing is to knit socks and make felted bags. I also knit hat sets for my 3 grandchildren every year. I just finished 2 braided pull on hats using Plymouth varigated yarn--turned out well, I think. What is everyone else knitting?
Hi JoAnn - sure wish I had grandchildren to knit for! Can't seem to get my boys (aged 24 & 30) interested yet. Oh well. I knit warm things for the children & teenagers in the Akkol Orphanage in Kazakhstan through the "Mittens for Akkol" Yahoo! group. I have so much wool in my stash and I'm totally enjoying using it up. Plus I don't have to worry about size/fit! Whooo hoooo - freedom!
Felting anything is hard for me here in Mexico as they don't often have hot water plumbed to the washing machines! I've tried by hand, but that is way too much work. But I do love to felt too.
