Article on tubular CO and BO?

Not too long ago there was a nice article in Interweave Knits on doing the tubular cast on and cast off. I particularly liked the way they described the bind off. It was like you were kitchenering the knits to the purls but you didn’t have to separate them on 2 needles, you did it right off the one needle.

I meant to copy the article and put it in a file, but of course I didn’t. now I need to know which issue it was in to find it again. Anyone have any idea? It was in the last year or so.


I used the technique on some top down ribbing and I was so pleased with the results. I need to refer to those directions again.


It would be a great topic for Knitting Daily to cover!

If you look in the Spring '09 issue of Knits...p 108...there are directions for the 2 methods you are looking for. I'm hoping maybe this was what you were remembering/ looking for?  Funny how our minds can alter stuff we are looking for sometimes!!!
