Twice in the past two weeks I've seen the term "Norwegian Cast On."  What is it and how is it done?

Hi Clare,

I will find you both an explanation and a video for it.  Hopefully the edit button will work for me.  If not then find them in the post below me.

http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/cast-on   Scroll down until you come to the Germain Twisted Cast On.  It is the same as the Norwegian cast on.  It gives you a video in both the continental knitting and the English method of knitting.  You choose the video based on the way you knit.  Bookmark the site into your favorites and return to it often to help you out.  I love the fact that they give videos and explanation.  It is one of my favorite places to go when I need some help.

Happy knitting, Zoe Smile

Thanks, Zoe, for your quick reply.  I heard this cast on is quite flexible, and I'm into sox and hate it when the ankle cast on turns out too tight.  Thanks again!  Clare
