Hello fellow knitters and fiber divas from the boondocks of Eastern Ohio. We live on a farm with a few merinos (no, I don't spin anymore - tried it, was terrible at it....maybe I'll try again someday), some goats, chickens, a rabbit and cattle. I enjoy knitting, though my husband would say that I really love collecting and reading books about knitting. I also like to shop for yarn and dream of all the projects I could do if only I had the time.
We attended a Fiber Fest early in the month (June) and met some of the most wonderful talented fiber artists.

Life is not about weathering the storms, it's learning to dance in the rain.
Hi PollyG, nice to meet you! I'm also from the boondocks of Ohio, but the Western side instead. It sounds like you have a nice-sized working farm; that's always great to see. My barns are mainly used for storage and my animals are limited to dogs, cats, and 2 rabbits.
I also enjoy collecting craft books, though I usually get ones on crochet, since I haven't yet learned to knit. It is so true when you said you dreamt of projects you could do if you only had the time. I feel that way myself. But, if we actually managed to make all those projects we dreamt of, our homes would be overflowing! So I guess it's a good thing that we have to pick and choose.
P.S. I loved your signature quote!
Hi PollyG. I wish I could say I was 'in' Ohio but although I am not, part of my heart still is. So "Hello" to you from LaLa Land instead.
And all the women who were wise of heart spun with their hands, and they kept bringing as yarn the blue thread and the wool dyed reddish purple, the coccus scarlet material and the fine linen. Ex. 35:25
