 I have been knitting since I am 8 years old (soon to turn 60). I also love to do needlepoint on very small canvases, some quilting, very little crocheting. I used to do counted cross stitch, but it got boring and my eyes couldn't handle it anymore. I also love gardening and cooking. It's hard to find enough time to do it all. I also spend half the year in India, where the textiles are amazing!!

 Hi there!  I have been knitting for about a year.  My mother and Aunt got me started (I'll soon turn 40) and I enjoy knitting for many reasons.  My family and I will be taking a trip to NY, near Watertown, for the first time.  We live in Georgia.  Can you recomend any great yarn shops in northern NY?

There's a really nice yarn and quilt fabric shop in a small town called Heuvelton.

The name of the shop is Fiber Options, 221 Rensselaer St.,Heuvelton. telephone:344-7600.

Also in Canton is a shop called Linsie Woolsie Fibers, 4 E Main St.tel. 379-9810. Definitely call before this one.
