I am ready to go on double point needles for a hat for my grandson. Black base, but I didn't have self-striping yarn so I used a multicolor alternating with a solid that is in it - in a fibonacci sequence pattern - 3-3-2-2-1-1. Looks great. Hope I have time to block it before I have to wrap it.
MY NAME IS NANCIE K. AND I'M NEW TO KNITTING DAILY. I AM SO TICKLED THAT I FOUND YOU. I'VE LEARNED SO MUCH. I'M GOING TO GIVE THE HAT A TRY AND THEN WANT TO TRY DOING THE SOCKS WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT ROUNDS OF COLOR. WILL POST A PICTURE WHEN I'M FINISHED. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PATTERNS AND HELP. I'LL PROBABLY BE BACK WITH QUESTIONS ON HOW TO'S. HOPE IT GOES SMOOTHLY FOR ME. THANKS AGAIN YOUR DOING A GREAT JOB. NANC
Can you estimate how many yards of yarn are needed for each color? I have two small skeins, 87 yards each color, and do not know if they will be enough.
made with almost EXACTLY 1 skein of NORO Kureyen (barely a metre or 2 left)

I absolutely love your hat and was very touched by the story that went with it! Fabulous work.
Thanks for the share!

I wonder if you are still working on this KAL. I have knitted this hat this past month and did not do it justice. I would like to try again, and I was about to do it on my own, but seeing that it was a KAL, I would much prefer to knit it and be able to ask questions along the way. I just watched Eunny's jogless stripe video and she had a different way of doing it than Jared's video. Nice to know that there is more than one way and can try each and see which works better for any knitter. I will wait to hear a reply to see if this KAL before starting. Thank you.
You are very smart! I I should learn from you!
