There it looks like they wrap the yarn around the needle twice and count them as two seperate YOs in the next row. Just take a heart and try it - normally patterns make sense when you aktually knit them &lt;img src="http://www.knittingdaily.com/emoticons/emotion-5.gif" alt="Wink" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In the pattern above in the first row it says to yarn over twice then knit 4. Does that mean I wrap the yarn around twice and knit the next stitch and then knit four more stitches so in total knitting 5 stitches or wrap the yarn around twice and knit the stitch after wrapping the yarn and count that as one of the four?
