&lt;p&gt;You would need to change where you place your knits and purls, among some other alterations. The pattern in the round would be&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;row 1 knit&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;row 2 *k3, p1* around &lt;/p&gt;
