What is your pattern name? or a link to it.

There are many patterns called chevron as you can see here, they are all different but go by that name.

http://www.yarn.com/webs-knitting-patterns-free-tahki-yarns/webs-free-knitting-patterns-tahki-bellevue-tunic/ (8 stitch-same as below)

http://knitting.about.com/od/stitchglossary/g/chevron.htm (8 stitch)

http://knitting.about.com/od/stitchglossary/g/chevron.htm (6 stitch)

http://www.knittingonthenet.com/stitches/chevronsingle.htm (8 stitch)

So it would be good to show a picture of your project or where to see it. I posted a few links to some chevron(s) so you can see for reference.

There must be a guide to it somewhere in your pattern, like on a page that continues your pattern? Or if you are using a book or magazine, if not IN the pattern, then on another page of book or magazine. Did you check other pages if there some?

Chevron Pattern

I'm working on a pattern that calls for the guage swatch to be done in "chevron pat" but there's no distinction on what that IS in the pattern :( Is there a standard chevron pattern that I should know about?

The only information I can find thus far is one that said it's done in a pattern of eight stitches. Is there a common one, or am I missing something?
