It's beautiful, but I don't get that magazine in my area. Anyone think that it will be available as a pattern purchase to download from the Knitting Daily store, at some point?

The Central Park hoodie is nice, but I like the deeper hood in the vest much better.

What happened to Knitscene Fall 2009?!

What happened to the chic and trendy, young and fun Knitscene that I looked forward to only 2 times a year?!!!! It's awful! I only bookmarked three patterns that I MIGHT want to knit, but I don't love any of them. What happened? They are so boring and all in the same drabby tones. And what's with the cabled hoodie? There's already one out there that everyone loves and is already knitting for the past year or so. With all the cool designers having their own websites and such, maybe good patterns are hard to come by in magazines. Are magazines on their way out?

Should one block scaf? I assume so. what other final steps do I need to do to make the scarf a beeter presentation.

Knit Scene Mag

Does anyone know why Knit Scene Mag is not available as a subscription? To order the mag plus pay for shipping is a little daunting and none of the LYS carry it. Just curious. I did order one once but to continue to for each new issue is not realistic to the wallet. Thank you

Anyone planning to make this scarf?

I just love it. Though it might be hard to first knit all those stitches and then dropping them again.

Any suggestions about yarn substitutions? Would cotton work as well?

Kimono Socks

I picked up the latestest issue of Knitscene last Tuesday and started the Kimono socks that night. I think they are absolutely adorable, and they are one of the main reasons I got the magazine. I have the rib stitching and 27 pattern rows done on the first sock, but got sidetracked trying to finish a crochet afghan and a small gift for my dad's birthday. I should be back to them within short order, however. I like making socks.

Prairie Kimono

Hello! I am new to the boards. I have been knitting for about 6 months. I am trying to get into patterns that are a little more challenging. Nothing too difficult yet. Anyway, I am making the prairie kimono from the Fall 2007 issue of Knit Scene. I had a question about shaping the neck. After I bind off that middle section, do I just work each side separately for a total of 4 needles. This may seem like a silly question, but I'm new at this.
