Dear Zass & Merlich,

Many thanks for your kind words, it is very hard for me at the moment, but I know that during the years that I had 'Sasha' she was happy. 'Sasha' was a little ray of sunshine that came into my life when I needed her the most. I wrote a poem for her called - " An Angel with four paws". I am hoping to get a nice double sided picture frame, so that I can put her picture in one side and the poem in the other.

I am truly sorry to hear that news about Sasha. I have experienced too also very very sadly, how quickly that disease can bring our beloved pets down. It happened so quickly there was no other choice really for us as well. It just about killed us as well. So I understand what you are going thru. I wish I could reverse all the pain you feel over your loss. I can tell you it took us a very long time. Even now I become very sad. The only solace we had was knowing that we cared and provided him with a happy home and how much he was loved. I know you have done the same and your Sasha was happy when she was with you. You did a wonderful thing in giving her the very best home and care and she loved you. You couldn't have done more than that.

Dear Wendy,

I am very sorry. I know it was one of the hardest days of your life; when you had to take that painful decision. Poor Sasha! That happened to us too many years ago, she also had cancer and spread all inside her body. We remember her with such a lot of love; she was unique. I still miss her. No other dog has ever loved me like this beautiful dog did.

Dear Zass and everyone,

It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that my beautiful dog 'Sasha' is gone. She had cancer, and went downhill very quickly. The vet said there was nothing more they could do for her, she was struggling even to breath, and so I had to have her put to sleep. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I miss her so much.

I just had to look back to find Sasha's picture. She is so adorable ! That post was almost a whole year ago, May 14, 2011. Boy how time flies!

I am just in my relax mode. Listening to music and dancing to the ones I like. I read your a little under the weather, so I hope it's passing by now. Take care and give Sasha a hug for me, please.

Hi Wendy,

I am so sorry you are feeling that bad. Have you tried to take a vial of vitamin A + D? It really works; it gives you strength, besides all the medication you are taking.

I can imagine how you feel to have to take Sasha for a walk, is anybody helping you? I hope you have some help!

Yes thank you Mary I did managed to get the sock monkey pattern. I can't wait to get rid of this flu as I have no energy, we have had two really sunny days here and while everyone has been out in the sun, I have been stuck indoor, sniffing, sneezing, coughing and wheezing. Ho -Hum, never-mind it will pass eventually.

Will post a pic of some of the teddy's as soon as I can.

I am sorry you've been ill. Flu is so annoying! I hope you get rid of it quickly, so you can enjoy knitting your pocket Teddy bears. I imagine they look very charming with all that outfit the ladies are knitting/sewing/crocheting for them! You always do lovely things!!

Thank you for your compliments. The gloves are that long because my youngest son is actually in the copy cat stage from his eldest brother. Last year, I knitted a pair for him with the same pattern, colour and kind of yarn, although with fresh air between the fingers, hahaha!!

Your hat and gloves are great Merlich, I especially like the gloves, nice and long.

Mary, So sorry to hear the wedding was called off, but glad the gloves went down well just the same.

I have had a dose of the flu, and still feel a bit yucky - I am in the process of knitting a lot of pocket teddy bears to go in with the dresses my church is making to send abroad. Still slowly working through the chess set (slowly being the operative word)

I am glad Angel is doing well. Don't leave her alone. The first days are the most difficult ones. I do not what happened, but I know breaking with someone is very hard. How are you? How are you feeling? It is very sad to see our little ones suffer; we suffer with them too!

I am happy for you about the shawl! I am looking forward to seeing it soon!

What a wonderful thing you have a big queue of projects to do. I have a big queue of UFO's. My hub has suggested me to be done with those projects before I buy new yarn and leave them again unattended. I don't know. I'll see what they are. I can't remember how many they are, hahaha!

Dear ZassZ,

In answer to your question, the shawl is triangular. It starts at the center top and works down and out. Right now I have it on my 24" cables with the stops and I think I may have to switch to the 42" cables before I'm done. That is one of the things I love about my interchangeables. I can switch cables as I need the room for stitches. Oh, if you are curious, the needles are the Harmony Laminated Birch from Knit Picks.

Dear Merlich,

Angel is doing okay. When I went to town, I spent most of the day with her and took her to lunch. It was great.

As for the shawl, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It is almost done! Yay!!!! Then I can get back to projects for myself that I have started or dug the yarn out for. The Carefree Cover Up from the Spring 2013 Issue of Creative Knitting, the Cap Sleeve top from the Spring 2013 Issue of Debbie Bliss magazine and the Tie Back Tank top from the Spring\Summer 2013 Issue of Vogue Knitting. And in between all that, more socks!

Back to the dishes!

Wow, love your yarn! Whatever you use it in will surely be very nice. What shape is the Fountain Pen shawl you have started above? I can see this is going to be another beautiful one.

Yes, Merlich's set is very nice and she did a great job on getting those ladders taken care of. Thank you for the words on my hat - I really do love it! If you would wear it then it must be ok! Thanks again. We were truly saddened to hear re the plans. Maybe they are just on "hold for now" and will work it out a little later. I do hope so and if not, then I know you will help her the best way you can to get thru this time. We support you anyway we can. Sometimes it's the qualities that are revealed after a storm that gives the strength to enable one to rebuild.

Hope you have a peaceful evening Mary and rest well. So glad you got to your fav yarn shop. That is always gives us a boost.
