Sewing names on knitted stockings

Over the years I have knitted 'tons' of Christmas Stocking for my grandchildren...however, I have sewing initals on one more I need for Christmas Eve...and cannot get the V (for Vincent) to come out looking like that letter

His name is too long...so I have resorted to initials "G V C"....I have the G & C already on the stocking (by using the over cast stitch in the contrasting color...

If anyone can help...I sure would appreciate it...perhaps there is some site I could bring up to see the alphabet
