Is anyone having trouble reaching the gauge? I can get the 20 stitches correctly but I only get 24 rows instead of the required 34 rows with size 6 needles? I am using Knit Picks CotLin DK weight yarn.

I did when I used the size 6...same issues. I switched to a 5 and still got the 20 st, but I increased the rows to 30 that was before I washed and dried and it stayed the same after I washed and dried it. I'm sticking with that.

I just want to make sure this is the official thread. I want to join up for the knit along. I am not sure if we are supposed to have started already but I am up to the second ruched band. Working with Debbie Bliss Prima in a lovely blue.

I need to wash my swatch before I do a final gauge check. I am using a completely different yarn, so will just adjust my numbers accordingly. My unwashed swatch with Casino II (cotton/rayon blend yarn) was 22 stitches x 26 rows. I will just adjust the rows, by knitting more rows between each element to produce the correct size. BUT first I wash, since I expect that it will grow in width and shrink in length after a few washings!

I switched yarn choice to Berroco's Weekend DK, which I love. It is very cottony feeling but is mostly acrylic. Anyhow,I also can get the 20 stitches but get 30 rows. When I knit I usually don't worry too much about the number of rows because you can always add or subtract from the length. I don't know how that will work out with this ruched yoke, though. I would like someone to explain how to get the correct stitches AND rows--it seems one or the other is always off for me.
