I wonder if you are still working on this KAL. I have knitted this hat this past month and did not do it justice. I would like to try again, and I was about to do it on my own, but seeing that it was a KAL, I would much prefer to knit it and be able to ask questions along the way. I just watched Eunny's jogless stripe video and she had a different way of doing it than Jared's video. Nice to know that there is more than one way and can try each and see which works better for any knitter. I will wait to hear a reply to see if this KAL before starting. Thank you.

Can you estimate how many yards of yarn are needed for each color? I have two small skeins, 87 yards each color, and do not know if they will be enough.

I am ready to go on double point needles for a hat for my grandson. Black base, but I didn't have self-striping yarn so I used a multicolor alternating with a solid that is in it - in a fibonacci sequence pattern - 3-3-2-2-1-1. Looks great. Hope I have time to block it before I have to wrap it.

YouTube has some great videos that could teach you how to do the Magic Loop for knitting-in-the-round with a long circular needle. I don't even own DPN's (maybe that was why I got the gaps in my hat.)

Finally got this done a last Friday, but haven't taken any good pictures of it.... This is one from my phone.

I ended up using Lion Brand Wool-ease because I have so much of it and wanted to have a little fun with the stripes. The Husband weighed in on the "pattern" of stripes and I did end up having to go back and tighten up one of the rows... sometimes I just shouldn't knit while watching TV... Hopefully blocking will help...

now to finish the last few projects on my Christmas knit list!

Nice job. I will be joining the KAL as soon as I finish a neck warmer. Don' t know what I have in my stash but hope to find something in gray worsted.
